TSA Title:  EH2004 Upgrade Utility produces "91 : Object variable or With block variable not set."
Builds Affected:  Build 1.1
Status:  Resolved in SR1A
Category:  Upgrade Utility

Problem/Issue Description
When running the EH2004 Upgrade Utility to bring in your existing Helpmate Scheduler 2002 data, the following 3 error messages are received:
"91 : Object variable or With block variable not set." - click OK
"91 : Object variable or With block variable not set." - click OK

Then the upgrade process terminates and the upgrade is unsuccessful.
Cause
Cause #1:
In the Helpmate Scheduler 2002 data file there is not at least one Event in the system that reserves a Staff/Volunteer type resource.

Cause #2:
In the Helpmate Scheduler 2002 data file there is not a "Managed By" assignment for one or more of the "Staff/Volunteer" type resource records.
Resolution
NOTE:  Resolved in EH2004 SR1A

Cause #1 Work-Around:
(1) Open your Helpmate Scheduler 2002 version product.
(2) Using the Events Explorer ("Events | Events Explorer"), open any past Event by double-clicking on the Event. This will open the Event in the Event Detail Form.
(3) Select the "Resources" tab, and then click the unlock button (yellow key in the upper left-hand corner) of the Event Detail form.
(4) Click the "Add" button near the bottom of the Resources tab (this will open the Reservation Detail form).
(5) Use the "Resource" pull-down control on the Reservation Detail form to select any "Staff/Volunteer" type resource, and then click the Save button on the Reservation Detail form.
(6) Save and close the Event Detail Form, and close the HS2002 program.
(7) Re-run the EH2004 Upgrade Utility.

NOTE: If in Step 5 above the "Resources" pull-down control does not list any "Staff/Volunteer" type resources, you must exit out of the steps below and create a "Staff/Volunteer" type resource ("File | New | Resource | Staff/Volunteer") - and then follow the steps above.

Cause #2 Work-Around:
(1) Open your Helpmate Scheduler 2002 version product.
(2) Select "Resources | Staff/Volunteer Detail" from the top menubar. This will open the Staff/Volunteer Detail form and show you the 1st Staff/Volunteer record in your HS2002 database.
(3) Determine if the currently displayed Staff/Volunteer record has a value for the "Managed By" field. If this value is blank, click the Staff/Volunteer Detail form's unlock button (yellow key in the upper left-hand corner), assign a value to this field, and then click the Save button to save the changes.
(4) Click the button at the top of the Staff/Volunteer Detail form which is a single arrow pointing to the right - this will take you to the next Staff/Volunteer record.
(5) Repeat steps 3 & 4 until all Staff/Volunteer records have been checked. Once this is completed, all of your HS2002 Staff/Volunteer records should have a value for the "Managed By" field.
(6) Close the HS2002 program.
(7) Re-run the EH2004 Upgrade Utility.

NOTE: If in the Staff/Volunteer Detail form there are no values in the "Managed By" pull-down control to select from, select "Setup & Preferences | Resources Setup" and add an item to the list.

NOTE: If you'd prefer, you may send us a backup of your HS2002 data file and we will take care of converting your data to an Event Helpmate 2004 data file (at no cost to you). Turn around time for HS2002 to EH2004 conversions is typically 1-2 business days.

This problem will be resolved in the EH2004 "Service Release 1".
