How
It Works
OneCallNow uses
special computers connected to the telephone system to digitally
record your message. Then we call literally hundreds of numbers at
once to reach your people instantly. When each person answers, we
play your recorded message.
Answering Machines & Voice Mail
OneCallNow waits for
the answering machine or voice mail greeting to stop, and then plays
your message for the answering machine or voice mail to record.
Redials Busy & No Answer
We redial busy numbers
and no-answers until your message gets through.
Calls
Only During Hours You Choose
Our default calling
time sends messages between 7AM and 9PM. You can easily change this,
or override the cut-off time in case of a late night or pre-dawn
urgent message. All times are calculated for the local time of each
phone number we call.
Caller ID Displays Your Number
Your designated phone
number (whatever phone# you want), such as the church’s main phone line, will be seen on the
member’s Caller ID display.
Integration With Church Helpmate
Understandably, you
don’t want to have to manage and maintain a set of names, phone
numbers, and groups that is separate (disconnected) from your
Church Helpmate database. That’s
why we have designed your Church Helpmate software to communicate
seamlessly with the OneCallNow system through the Internet. The
people and groups you establish and maintain in Church Helpmate are
always reflected in your OneCallNow account – so you will never have to
deal with the headaches of having to manage more than one database.
In Church Helpmate you
simply assign a numerical number (0-99) to any Group in your Church
Helpmate database. Then, you (or anyone from your organization such
as a pastor, secretary, volunteer, small group leader, etc.) will be
able to call into the OneCallNow system, record the outgoing message,
and tell the system which Group of people should receive the message –
by using the number you have assigned to the Group in Church Helpmate.
There's no
importing or exporting of data to worry about, and absolutely no new
software or hardware to buy, maintain, or learn.
Easily Poll Your Members
Polling is a fast and
effective way to request volunteers, determine the best day to
schedule an event, or get any other type feedback from your members.
When you record your
message, you will simply list the options for your members. For
example, “If you can volunteer Saturday, press 1. If you can
volunteer Sunday, press 2.” You can get the results of your polls
over the phone or online!
Members Can Call In & Listen To Your Message
Any member can simply
call our toll-free number. After the standard greeting plays, they
can enter their phone# and select option 1. This allows them to hear
the message you recorded. This way, they can be traveling and still
get the word. This is also helpful in other situations – for example,
if a young child happens to answer the phone when your message is
initially sent, and the parent “misses” the call.
No
Per-Minute, Per-Call, or Toll Charges
Members can be called
anywhere in the continental United States or Canada without affecting
your service fee. Also, our unlimited service plan pricing structure
means you can allow and encourage your entire team (pastors,
secretaries, volunteers, small groups leaders, etc.) to use this
service as much or as little as they like – without affecting your
service fee.
